Hello there, how are you doing, it’s a great feeling to write to you again and I hope this meets you well. It’s the beginning of another amazing week and I want you to know that your goals are doable this week, keep your focus and keep doing your work.
Today, let’s talk about what it truly means to be aware and the usefulness of awareness in developing yourself.
There is a lot of information in the world today, everyone can access anything they want to know and because of this fact, a lot of people claim to be aware. This is a very woke generation, yet the wokeness doesn’t have any real effect in the core of people’s lives because the exercise of their wokeness ends at peddling information but not acting with it.
The hallmark of awareness/wokeness is not having information, that is something obtainable by everyone, the true mark of awareness is knowing what the information you have means, when to act with it and when not to.
Awareness is not knowing but acting.
For example, if I tell you I’m going to throw a stone at you – you have the information that the stone is coming, but if you do not hide or block the stone before or by the time I throw it, you’ll get hit and the information you had has done nothing for you.
Your ability to properly use the information that you have is proof that you’re aware.
The impact and the usefulness of the information you have is the way to show real awareness – to show that you’re aware, it must be visible in the way you live.
On your journey to build something better for yourself, you must be truly aware and conscious of what is going on around you, and that goes beyond knowing, it means being able to act with what you know.
You have to constantly lookout for how the information is useful to your development and how you must act with them.
BUILDING SELF-ESTEEM.
Awareness is one of the major tools you need to build your self-esteem – you need to know how things affect you and what you can do about them. Awareness is knowing what is good for you and doing those things.
To build and sustain good self-esteem, you must be conscious of the information you constantly access and how you can use them to build yourself. It is not enough to know that something is good, you must be sure that is it good for you and proceed to apply it.
If you want to truly grow, you must move beyond just having information to utilizing the information for your good. It is a waste of time if all the information you have is just gist materials, that’s simply clogging up useful space in your mind with thrash.
True awareness is not just what you know, it’s what you do with what you know.
